![]() ![]() It does the same as above, but instead of recirculating back into the intake, it just blows it out of a trumpet into the engine bay, creating the recognizable sound usually associated with a turbo vehicle. It diverts the compressed air after the turbo and intercooler away from the intake manifold on the engine and back into the intake tubing/flow to be re-circulated, thus keeping the pressure on the intake side a bit higher and making the turbo a tad more efficient and letting the electronics keep track of air volume a bit better.īOV = Blow Off Valve (this is actually a dump valve) aka "dump to atmosphere". The valve should be either open or closed, not hovering in-between.ĭV = Diverter Valve (not dump valve) aka "recirclating valve". That flutter is (performance-wise) a deficiency, showing that the valve isn't tuned properly. Just to throw it all out there so everyone is on the same page (regardless of desired results): the strength that is needed is right between the normal spring strength and the next strength up. It's because their spring isn't the right strength for the juke. Confirmed, the tubosmart kompact does it. ![]()
